World's First Certified-Sustainable Krill Oil

Vital Red™ is the world's first certified-sustainable Wild Antarctic Krill Oil!

We source it from a unique, high-tech fishery ... the only one to meet the tough, science-based standards of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC).

Pure, unrefined, Vital Red™ provides essential omega-3s in a rare “phospholipid” form, as well as unrivaled levels of antioxidants.

Limited evidence indicates that phospholipid-form omega-3s may be better-absorbed and provide enhanced benefits in key health contexts.

Krill oil is uniquely rich in the healthful red pigment called astaxanthin, with Vital Red™ boasting five times more than our Wild Sockeye Salmon Oil and more than in many brands of krill oil.

The Vital Choice Haiku Contest
Brew a cup of green tea, grab a comfy kimono, and pen a few succinct compositions for our tasty literary contest!

Fishing for Sole, by Hiroshige. Click for full story and link to printer friendly version.
Haiku is a Japanese poetry form … one whose brevity forces the composer to distill thoughts and images down to their essence.

Done well, the haiku form yields verse of rare wit, insight, and beauty.

The usual rules for haiku call for the composer to use exactly 17 syllables, and break the poem into three lines of five, seven and five syllables, respectively.

An anonymous haiku, which employs the classic 5-7-5 syllable format, captures the spirit of this unique poetic form:

The lake, calm, smooth, still
A fish jumps, flips and returns
Ripples fill the lake

But our rules are a bit more flexible … your haiku may contain less than 17 syllables (but no more), and each of its three lines can contain any number of syllables.

So wait for inspiration, then send up to three qualifying haiku to haiku2011@vitalchoice.com ... you may win a Gift Certificate to spend on our top-quality wild seafood and organic fare!

Entries must be submitted by 12:00 midnight Pacific Time on Friday, March 4, 2011.

We will select three winners and three runners up, and notify them via e-mail by March 25, 2011.
